The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is at the forefront of biochemical research. The Department of Biochemistry’s Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) offers non UIUC students the opportunity to learn alongside some of the best scientists in the world. Our faculty and students are engaged in a variety of exciting areas, including chemical biology, molecular virology, genomics, microbial physiology, and so much more.

For more information about the REU, please contact Satish K. Nair, Ph.D at snair@illinois.edu.

Note: UIUC students should apply for a School of MCB Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) in lieu of the REU.
